I started my marketing career in ad agencies, and have moved on to a number of global telecommunications and oil and gas companies. I also have a strong background in venue management and events planning and promotions. Some of my best moments are summarized below.
I have a unique background in marketing, product marketing, and in operations, I like to go through the steps to do things that right way. When you skip a step, you lose control over your results!
I began working in ad agencies, where I was trained in targeting and in direct marketing. As a direct marketing expert, my skills were highly in demand, and I took them to Shell Energy Services, and to Time Warner Cable, where I did amazing things with incredible people and grew their businesses! From there, I worked with Spark Energy on telemarketing and door-to-door tactics. I then moved into hospitality marketing, where I began managing marketing, events and programming, and social media promotions for a number of well-known and deeply-loved local venues.
I am currently working with a telecom compliance company, and I love being able to make a difference using very targeted email marketing and SEO. I am currently revamping their website to capitalize on our SEO progress, and to create a more user-friendly experience. As their only marketing employee, it is a big task, but I am enjoying every minute of what I do! With my help, we grew the business 40% YOY!

When we were managing marketing for Time Warner Cable Business Class, we worked hard to make sure our marketing served multiple purposes and was something that stuck around. This particular project was a very targeted postcard with a set of stickers that recipients could use to make their mouse extraordinary. This was not only pretty and fun; we had a 36% response rate. Thanks to very careful targeting. 88% of respondents signed a contract for services with Time Warner Cable. This small-batch, highly targeted mailer had an ROI of over 1000%. That's a good investment.
At Time Warner Cable, we would push out sales contests, pricing specials and other mechanisms in order to help promote sales. This is an example of a sales contest for PRI. The product manager was a black belt, and had taken a series of photos to celebrate his designation, so we added a simple filter to the photos and got a pretty cool in-house flier! This was also something that helped make our product manager very approachable. Oh! And we absolutely exceeded our sales goals this month.
